Ken Shield
I’ve been a resident of Portage, Indiana my entire life and am happily married with two crazy little kids. Jay and I have been great friends since high school. He was also the Best Man in my wedding. I’ve been a drummer in various rock, dance, jazz, r & b, and wedding bands for close to 20 years. My deep appreciation for a variety of music stems from a healthy musical childhood. From an early age I learned that
…music can move the soul, make people happy, and sculpt vivid memories.
This is something I hope to accomplish at any event we perform at. I generally handle the emcee (microphone) work. I try to be articulate, friendly, and informative. Most people think I’m a close friend of the family. I don’t like to ramble all night over the top of songs with stupid and pointless banter. Some things are funny and should be pointed out. One of my main objectives is to offer guidance throughout the evenings events, making sure they flow in the direction the clients want them to.
Jay Alsman
Music has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been playing drums since the age of 4. My family has always been supportive of my musical endeavors. I’m also happily married and have a son that is 2, and another son on the way.
I listen to just about everything musically, and also have an interest in art and photography. Like Ken I’ve played in various groups and genre’s over the past 20 or so years. Luckily we’re both still doing so today, when not DJ’Ing.
